AI & Recording Disclosure
Last updated: 2026-06-11
Transparency
Callers must be told they are speaking with an AI assistant and that the call may be recorded. Clients are responsible for configuring this disclosure in their assistant and for having a lawful basis / consent to call.
EU AI Act
Transparency obligations for AI systems that interact with people apply from August 2026. Disclosing the AI nature of the call is therefore a requirement, not optional.
Recording consent
The platform supports a recording-consent / notice step (via the voice provider's compliance plan), configurable per assistant. Recordings should only proceed where consent / notice requirements are met for the relevant jurisdiction.
Client responsibility
As the data controller, the client must ensure disclosures and consents are appropriate for the people they contact and the countries involved. Seek legal advice for your specific call flows.
